Carlos Sainz won’t drive for Red Bull ‘in a million years’
Red Bull Racing are making sure that the speculation in the Formula 1 driver’s market lasts until the very end of the season despite kicking off before the campaign even began.
Ferrari's pursuit of Lewis Hamilton has triggered a flurry of driver moves ahead of the 2025 F1 season, with eight switches already confirmed. Red Bull appears settled with Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez contracted until 2028 and 2025, respectively. However, a significant 242-point gap between them in the Drivers' Championship is raising doubts about Perez’s future at Red Bull and whether he's the best teammate for Verstappen in 2025.
Though Red Bull's recent actions suggest Perez will stay, at least initially, speculation continues about potential replacements. Journalist Ben Hunt, on the *Inside The Piranha Club* podcast, remarked that there’s one driver he believes will never race for Red Bull alongside Verstappen. Despite Williams securing Carlos Sainz for 2025, rumors persist about his potential future with Red Bull.
