The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 114-106 on Wednesday night, making them the sixth club in NBA history to begin a season 13-0. Donovan Mitchell scored 11 of his 23 points in the game's last three minutes.
In addition, Mitchell pulled down 13 rebounds and contributed nine assists, making Cleveland the first team to win 13 straight games to start a season since the Golden State Warriors in 2015–16. The 76ers, who played without Joel Embiid and Paul George on the second night of a back-to-back due to left knee injury maintenance, got a career-high 34 points from Jared McCain. The Sixers scored 20 points from Kelly Oubre Jr. and 18 from Caleb Martin.
