In the second Test match against Pakistan, Bangladesh produced an incredible comeback to win the two-match series in Rawalpindi. At one point, down 26–6, Pakistan had scored 274 in their first innings, and Bangladesh was struggling. At seven, Liton Das launched a counterattack, scoring 138, with Mehidy Hasan chipping in with 78 to push the visitors to 262.

The bowlers unleashed a torrent of aggression as well, led by Hasan Mahmud (5-43), Nahid Rana (4–44), and Taskin Ahmed (1–40), the fast bowlers had never taken all ten wickets in one inning before. Bangladesh needed 185 runs to record a series-sweeping victory of 2-0. The tourists got off to a quick start thanks to openers Shadman Islam (24), who scored 58 in 12.2 overs, and Zakir Hasan (40 off 39). Later veterans Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan in the end carried the team to win the match and the series.
