KKR clinched the IPL Victory against SRH
Mitchell Starc was magical. Andre Russell was mesmerising. Gautam Gambhir remained stoic.
In a season that KKR controlled from beginning to end, their bowling unit was immaculate, dismissing Sunrisers for a pitiful 113 in 18.3 overs and left them in ruins. It was the lowest summit clash score ever in the competition. Then, in only 10.3 overs, Venkatesh Iyer (52 not out, 26b, 4x4, 3x6), an all-rounder that was forgotten in India, assisted KKR in finishing the formalities. In addition, he made sure that teammate Iyer and captain Shreyas had a "Knight" to remember following a torturous four months during which the Indian cricket system stripped him of some dignity.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz (39), who made three good catches behind the stumps, was also valuable with the bat. The victory was decisive, the contest was one-sided, and there was just one thing that was evident: team spirit.
