PSG eyes a Liverpool talent to replace Achraf Hakimi
Achraf Hakimi is expected to stay in Paris until 2029. However, PSG believes that Trent Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool would be a suitable alternative if he decides to go.
According to sources, Morocco international Achraf Hakimi has not set to sign a new deal with Paris Saint-Germain. When his current contract with the French capital expires in 2026, the 26-year-old right-back—possibly the best in the world—will be free to sign with any team.
Although there is no information about possible teams the former Borussia Dortmund player may join, still PSG's backup plan is already in place. Luis Enrqiue's team is expected to acquire English right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool of the Premier League. The 26-year-old is unlikely to stay at Anfield in the post-Jurgen Klopp era. His current Liverpool deal expires in the summer of 2025. Since Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vazquez have suffered injuries, TAA has been strongly linked to Real Madrid, the La Liga winners, and the Los Blancos may need to move quickly to get him.
