Mavericks beat the Thunder 121-119
PJ Washington continues to terrorize the Thunder as they get back to .500
For the first time this season, Luka Doncic was sidelined for the Dallas Mavericks' game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday due to a knee injury. It's easy to see why he missed this game given that he has been dealing with a number of illnesses this season and that he may have faced the excessively aggressive Lu Dort.
The Thunder began Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Isaiah Joe, Lu Dort, Aaron Wiggins, and Jalen Williams because they are missing nearly all of their big men, while the Mavericks started Kyrie Irving, Quentin Grimes, Klay Thompson, P.J. Washington, and Dereck Lively II in Doncic's absence. After eight points from P.J. Washington, the Mavericks jumped out to an 11-2 lead, reminding Thunder supporters of the forward's explosive shooting from the previous round.
