Thomas Tuchel is being considered by Manchester United as a possible Erik ten Hag replacement. The current manager at Old Trafford is under pressure following a string of defeats, which included Sunday's painful Premier League loss to Liverpool. After just three games this season, Ten Hag is already under investigation since many of the problems from the previous year are still there. 

The Dutchman had a stressful summer as he awaited word on his future, but the newly elected United board chose to support him, bringing in a number of new players and changing up the coaching staff. Nevertheless, even though Ten Hag has been in charge for more than two years, the defeat to Liverpool exposed a lack of flair in the game. In the event that things don't get better, the club has backup plans, with Tuchel being their first choice. Although Tuchel departed Bayern Munich without a title the previous season, he had made an impression at Chelsea, PSG, Borussia Dortmund, and the Champions League.
