Davis scores late to give Udinese a point
Keinan Davis scores late to give Udinese their first win after four games.
In Italy's Serie A, Udinese drew 1-1 against Empoli with 14 minutes left thanks to a goal from Englishman Keinan Davis, ending the visitors' three-game losing run. In the 76th minute, the former Watford and Aston Villa striker sprang up to head in a near-post corner.
Halfway through the first half, Pietro Pellegri gave Empoli the lead with his third goal in three games. A goal in the 1-0 victory over Como and another in the 1-1 draw with Lecce prior to the international break gave the on-loan Torino striker a boost after a lackluster season. Following back-to-back losses to Atalanta, Juventus, and Venezia, the outcome gave Udinese their first point in four games and guaranteed both teams' mid-table spots. In the rankings, Empoli came in at number ten and Udinese at number nine.
