Jakub Kiwior could consider pushing for an exit

Jakub Kiwior could consider pushing for an exit ahead of the January transfer window as he continues to struggle for game time at Arsenal.

Football Insider claims that Jakub Kiwior may try to leave before the January transfer window in order to find consistent playing time elsewhere. Since the Polish defender may lean towards a potential return to Serie A, should the Gunners approve a move, he does have a number of suitors from Italy and Spain.

Last season, when the squad was playing some of its finest football, Mikel Arteta made heavy use of Jakub Kiwior. But when Oleksandr Zinchenko and Takehiro Tomiyasu recovered from injuries in the latter stages of the previous campaign, his position took a backseat. Kiwior has fallen further in the hierarchy after Arsenal recruited Riccardo Calafiori this summer and Jurrien Timber made a long-awaited comeback. Since joining from Spezia in January 2023, the Pole has mostly played as a left-back. He is presently Gabriel Magalhaes's backup at centre-back.
