Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk has revealed his honest assessment of the signing of Federico Chiesa from Juventus. With the summer transfer window officially closed, Arne Slot will focus his whole attention on the forthcoming games, as the Reds have only signed two players. Liverpool, like other Premier League teams, was careful with their summer spending, much to the chagrin of fans who had wanted to see their team try to bring in players who might help them compete with Arsenal and Manchester City. Van Dijk shared his views that with a lengthy season and numerous games, Chiesa's signing is a valuable addition to the team. 

Slot started his Liverpool career with a 2-0 win against newly promoted Ipswich Town on the first day, followed by another 2-0 victory against Brentford the following week.
