Mason Greenwood gives Marseille two goals in a minute
Greenwood’s brace helps Marseille maintain their top status in Ligue 1.
In the French Ligue 1 on Saturday, Marseille defeated Toulouse 3-1 thanks to two goals in a minute from Mason Greenwood. Greenwood scored from close range in the 16th minute and from the front in the 17th. With three goals on his Ligue 1 debut, the former Manchester United attacker has matched Mario Balotelli's record set with Nice in 2016.
After Greenwood's brace and Frank Magri's red card in the 27th for tripping Geoffrey Kondogbia of Marseille, the outcome of the match seemed clear. Marseille wasted several opportunities and only scored an own goal from Charlie Cresswell in the second half, while Toulouse received a late consolation goal from Shavy Babicka. On goal differential, Marseille leads Nantes at the top of the standings, who defeated Montpellier 3-1 to maintain their perfect record as well.
