Borussia Dortmund confirms their place in Champions League

No matter how Borussia Dortmund finishes their match against Real Madrid, they will still be participating in the UEFA Champions League the next season.

The Bundesliga's biggest teams have confirmed their fifth-place finish in the German top flight's final standings this season, guaranteeing them a spot in Europe's top competition. Now that home affairs have been resolved, Borussia Dortmund will be totally concentrated on their June 1 matchup with Los Blancos. With a 4-0 victory over Darmstadt, who were relegated, Edin Terzic's team finished the league season with a stunning run to the Wembley final.

Terzic's team will have a critical window of time to prepare with a two-week break before the final, and he will only have to make one selection. There was just one alteration to Dortmund's starting lineup from their semi-final second-leg victory over Paris Saint-Germain against Darmstadt. Julian Brandt is predicted to narrowly defeat Marco Reus, forcing Terzic to choose between the two players who are most beloved by the supporters.
