Stuttgart stuns Bayern Munich

Silas Katompa Mvumpa and Jeong Woo-yeong goals caused Bayern Munich to lose for the first time in Stuttgart since 2007.

Bayern Munich lost 3-1 on the road to Stuttgart in front of their Champions League matchup with Real Madrid. Bayern lost in Stuttgart for the first time since 2007 thanks to late goals from Silas Katompa Mvumpa and Jeong Woo-yeong.

Just before the half-hour mark, Leonidas Stergiou of Stuttgart gave them the lead with a smash-and-grab goal. Then, under dubious circumstances, Bayern equalized when Waldemar Anton touched Serge Gnabry with his hand inside the box, giving up what even Tuchel called "a soft penalty.” Harry Kane scored the penalty kick, bringing his season total to 36 goals and cutting the gap between him and Robert Lewandowski's Bundesliga record to just four. However, Jeong's header in the 83rd minute put Stuttgart ahead once more, and Silas completed the victory in stoppage time. In a 5-1 victory against Augsburg on Saturday, Marco Reus scored what may have been his final goal for Borussia Dortmund.
