Juventus parted company with a few of its players
Juventus has lightened its salary burden
Finally, Juventus has found a home for Tiago Djaló. The defender formally signed a loan agreement with Porto without the option to purchase. Both teams will share his salaries. After suffering a knee injury and failing to impress two coaches, the center-back was searching for a squad where he could play a starting role on a regular basis.
He joined Turin for €3.6 million in January of last year and has since logged in just 16 minutes of playtime. Almost no games were played when he tore his ACL in March 2023. He will also be able to rejoin the national squad thanks to the move. In 2022, he was called up twice but remained on the bench. The agreement maintains open lines of communication between the parties in anticipation of the upcoming negotiations for Francisco Conceiçao's permanent transfer. The last-ditch efforts to move Filip Kostic to Saudi Arabia failed, while Juventus sent off Djaló.
