Napoli defeated Bologna 3-0 on Sunday to record their first Serie A victory under manager Antonio Conte and their first league triumph since April 7. Kvaratskhelia assisted on one goal and scored the other. When Conte was appointed in June, he became Napoli's sixth coach in less than a year; nevertheless, in his first game back in Serie A, his new club lost 3-0 to Hellas Verona.

"We realized right away that we needed to stay in the middle of the ring, throw punches and receive blows, but you have to stay standing if we want to forget the past," Conte stated. Kvaratskhelia, a Georgian winger, was also absent from Napoli due to a minor head injury sustained in Verona; however, he returned on Sunday, having only returned from his own country earlier this week following his wife's birth of their first child.
