Torino wins 1-0 against Venezia

Saul Coco scored his first goal in Serie A to lead Torino to a win.

In a fiercely contested encounter at the Stadio Penzo, Torino defeated Venezia by a slim 1-0 margin. The game-winning goal came from an unusual source, defender Saul Coco scored his first Serie A goal in the last minutes of the encounter. The victory was especially meaningful for Torino's coach, Paolo Vanoli, who returned to face the team he had previously guided to promotion via the playoffs. Torino's good start to the season continues, with a draw against Milan and a win against Atalanta.

Despite missing important players Gianluca Busio and Bjarki Bjarkason, Venezia welcomed back last season's leading scorer, Joel Pohjanpalo. Hans Nicolussi Caviglia made his debut for the home side and had an instant impression, forcing two great stops from Torino goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic early in the game.
