Vitor Roque, who was loaned out from FC Barcelona to Real Betis for the season, made his debut for his new team against Real Madrid. The 19-year-old's tenure with the Catalan team hasn't gone as planned. Along with Endrick of Real Madrid, Roque was eagerly awaited as the next big Brazilian forward. He was anticipated to be Barcelona's retaliation for Los Blancos signing their own star player from Brazil.

However, Roque finds himself shipped to Real Betis on loan six months after arriving at Barcelona. In addition, the Spanish team has the option to buy him for €25 million at the end of the 2024–2025 season. The 19-year-old may be signed by Real Betis with assistance from Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur. Johnny Cardoso has a €25 million buyout option with the English club that will last through the summer of 2023. If the Lilywhites decide to sign him, Betis would have the funds available to make an instant move for Vitor Roque.
