João Pedro, is reportedly in negotiations with Hull City
City's transfer business looks to continue despite the window closing at the end of last month
João Pedro, a former Italian international and captain of Cagliari, is reportedly in negotiations with Hull City about a surprise transfer to the MKM Stadium. The Ipatinga-born player, 32, joined Fenerbahce in 2022 after joining from Cagliari for a reported value of around 6.5 million euros. He spent the previous two seasons there, but he departed in the summer to become a free agent.
After missing out on signing a forward in the final days of the summer transfer window, City made the move to try and sign the seasoned attacker. They plan to offer him a one-year contract at MKM Stadium with the option of a second, making him the second free transfer to join the team after Steven Alzate, bringing the total number of new players signed since the end of the previous season to seventeen.
