Orlando Magic 115-88 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans
Franz Wagner scored 27 points and the Orlando Magic broke a five-game losing streak, never trailing in a 115-88 victory over the injury-depleted New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night.
The Orlando Magic ended their five-game losing streak with a dominant 115-88 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night. Franz Wagner led the Magic with 27 points, while his brother Mo Wagner contributed 17 points. Despite a valiant effort from the Pelicans, Brandon Boston Jr. scoring 26 points and Jose Alvarado adding 21 points, five rebounds, and five assists, the team struggled without several key players, including Zion Williamson.
After the Magic built a 24-point lead, the Pelicans fought back with a 17-1 run, cutting the deficit to 10 points. However, Jalen Suggs’ timely 3-pointer early in the third quarter broke Orlando’s scoring drought, ending a nine-minute field goal dry spell. Missing six of their top eight scorers, New Orleans couldn’t sustain their rally, falling to their seventh loss in eight games.
