Juventus are considering a January swoop for Jonathan David
Juventus are seriously considering a January swoop for Canadian striker Jonathan David and have reportedly gotten in touch with Lille.
Juventus is reportedly exploring a January deal for Lille attacker Jonathan David, whose contract with the Ligue 1 team expires on June 30, 2025, according to a recent Calciomercato article. One of Ligue 1's finest players, David has shown himself in several strong performances this season against Juventus and other elite Champions League teams. In 197 appearances for the team, the former Gent prodigy has scored 95 goals.
However, he hasn't signed a new deal with Lille yet. In January, David will have the opportunity to speak with clubs about a pre-contract arrangement so that he may sign for nothing. Juventus, however, has other ideas. When Arkadiusz Milik is injured, the Bianconeri have been aggressively looking for a trustworthy striker to replace Dusan Vlahovic. However, Juve not only thinks David can be a solid offensive addition, they also think he can replace Vlahovic in the starting lineup and become their first-choice No. 9.
