Alondes Williams is set to join the Clippers
Former Heat guard Alondes Williams is set to join the Clippers on a training camp contract, according to Ira Winderman of The South Florida Sun Sentinel
Williams, who attended Wake Forest, Oklahoma, and Triton College during his collegiate career, was not selected in the 2022 NBA Draft and played his rookie year with the Long Island G League affiliate of the Nets. He began the season with Miami's G League club, the Sioux Falls Skyforce, after inking an Exhibit 10 deal with the Heat in August. In February, he inked a two-way contract with the Heat, and he concluded the campaign on their 18-man roster.
Despite having only played 21 minutes overall in eight NBA games for Miami and Brooklyn, Williams is coming off a successful season in the G League. With a shooting line of.499/.369/.742, he scored 20.3 points, 7.1 assists, and 5.3 rebounds in 37.4 minutes per game in 43 Showcase Cup and regular season games for the Skyforce in 2023–2024.
